Business Responsibility
Transformation and sustainability

We are involved in a number of initiatives to support transformation and sustainability:

Socio-economic development

Through the Mutual & Federal Community Trust we support further education and skills development as well as micro enterprise development. The Black Broker Trust focuses on the training and development of black insurance brokers.

Access to financial services

This strategy addresses access to financial services for the Living Standards Measure (LSM) 1-5 economic groupings, as set out in the Financial Sector Code. We have specifically-developed products for this market such as our livestock and Insurance 4 All offerings.

Consumer education

Through partnerships with Nedbank and Old Mutual SA, we have established a one-stop shop offering financial and insurance products (the Imbizo Initiative).

Furthermore, through our collaboration with Old Mutual we are offering the financial wellbeing programme  for our staff members, selected suppliers, our communities & customers which focuses on financial literacy and money management skills.

If you would like a session to be conducted in your community please contact:

In partnership with the Agricultural Research Council training is provided for 100 small scale farmers on technical and business skills to help them sustain and grow their businesses.
